About

The Compassion Furniture Bank is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization located on US Highway 22 E near the Pickaway and Fairfield county line. The Compassion Furniture Bank collects gently used furniture from generous people donors in the community. The bank then inspects and cleans the furniture before delivering it to individuals and families in need in Fairfield and Pickaway Counties.

Compassion Furniture Bank was established in 2018 by Seth and Tammy Myers. God placed a burning passion in their hearts to serve neighbors in need of essential furniture items. This passion led them to purchase property with a 2,400 square foot pole barn on US Highway 22 in Pickaway County. The pole barn serves as the warehouse for donated furniture items. With the support of Michelle and John Hill, volunteers, and God’s blessings, the furniture bank is now ready to tackle a desperately growing need in the community.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).

Future Goals

The goal of the furniture bank for 2019 was to serve as many families and individuals in the community as possible. We are proud to announce we served 308 individuals and families in 2019. This wouldn’t be possible without the donations of gently used furniture from caring individuals.

Our goal for 2020 is to continue to serve as many families as possible throughout our community that are in need of essential furniture items. Our goal is to turn empty houses into homes.
